Blackjack Lessons

Chemin de Fer is possibly one of the most favoured games wagered on in betting houses. Blackjack is also known as "twenty one" or "pontoon." The game is a combination of luck and ability combined with choices. The card game has evolved over a set amount of time. Players have specialized in certain abilities like "card card counting," with which they turn the edge in the game in the players direction. The card game has been in existence since the 18th century. References can be seen in historical scriptures to a card game known as "vingt-et-un," which means twenty one in French, and is considered the ancestor to black jack.

The game was initially not very popular in the u.s.. This led to the gambling houses attempting a variety of features like providing a bonus in case of a ten to one payout, if the blackjack player was dealt an ace of spades and a black jack. The jack could be either the jack of clubs or spades. Once the game got popular, the bonus pay out soon disappeared from the game.

Any hand which achieves a sum of 21 is deemed a winner. The total can not go beyond twenty one, in which case the hand is considered to be "bust." The aim of each player is to beat the croupier. If both the blackjack player and the croupier have the identical hand value, it is called "push," with not either the black jack player or the casino winning the hand.
